In our yard (in Connecticut), deer sightings are very common. Usually every spring/summer we see at least one to two pair of twin fawn. One year we had triplets come to the yard most days. They were fun to watch and are especially beautiful when they jump the stone walls.

Recently, we have been raising chickens which we let free range in our yard. It is most amusing when the chickens and fawn first interact. The chickens seem to ignore the deer and the deer are very skittish. Usually, one fawn is more bold than its sibling. When the chickens get too close to the bold fawn, the fawn will stomp and make a mock charge and then run 10 feet away. It will then turn around to see if the chicken follows it which of course it didn't. This happens for about 3-4 days and then the two ignore each other for the rest of the summer. Those first interactions are so amusing.
